Major Call Waiting Flaw

When I am on a call and I get a call waiting and I am done with that person and want to go back to the original person I can press swap and thats fine, now while i am talking to this original person and ANOTHER call waiting comes in and I am doing with that call and want to go back to the original call there is absolutely no flash button on this phone and the swap button disappears, you have way at all to go back to this person you have to hang up on ALL the calls and call back, being a business user or even on a personal matter this is ridiculous and unacceptable cause pressing the screen does nothing when you click on the other person

As far as I know, that's not a flaw with the phone. It seems to be a symptom of Sprint (and Verizon I believe as the other CDMA carrier) networks. I've never been able to hang up either call individually through call waiting for as long as I've had Sprint.

Same for me.

Im aware of the Sprint flaw but that was not what I was pointing out. Let me try again, on every sprint phone including evo, once Im on a call, I get another call I press flash or talk or whatever pick up that call and when I am done I press flash or that original persons name and I am back on with them, we can all do this, during that original call if ANOTHER call comes in we can pick it up but after that when you want to get back to the original call, on any other phone you would press flash or talk button but this phone has neither so you have no way of getting back to the original call you have to be forced to hang up. I am not talking about individually hanging up, simply talking about getting call waiting twice during one call and still being able to get back to the original call my means of pressing flash or talk or in this case the Epic has a Swap button but that disappears after the first call. On the EVO you can press the the phone number but on the epic it doesn't let you

I think I understand what you're saying- but do you not get the screen where it shows both callers? click on the other one. I've had this happen multiple times in the same "original call" but perhaps I'm not having this issue due to my bluetooth device? I'm using my Pioneer Car stereo AVH 3200BT. I click the incoming call button and it switches to the new caller- to switch back- I do grab the phone and select the original caller's name on the active call list (shows both callers).

Just tested it and I get the same problem. No swap button and I tap the call that is on hold, but it won't go back to it.

I'm having the exact same issue. It is very frustrating. Another scenario is you're on the phone with Stephanie, and you get a call from John, so you tell John you're going to call him back and 3 way him in with you and Stephanie. Well, John hangs up and you press the "Add Call" button, but you can't, because the Epic still shows John on the other line.

I also have an issue with pulling a second caller in on three way, and not being able to disconnect the second caller from the conversation, without hanging up on both of them. I've been with Sprint since about 2001, and I keep seeing these forums where people are telling that is a Sprint issue. It's not. I'm coming form the Hero, Touch Pro, Touch, and the two Audiovox phones, and this has never been an issue with any of those.

I've been trying to search for custom dial pads for the Epic, to see if that fixes the problem, but there aren't any out there. I would rather this get fixed before Froyo comes out (personally), because I don't see the need in making a phone do even more, when it still doesn't operate as a basic phone.

I'm surprised there isn't more out there about this.

I'm a Verizon customer, and I have the same issue with my Driod Pro. Very frustrating.

Hey guys. I'm. Really surprised that a fix for this problem after all this time. I didn't even know how wide spread it was cause I thought that I just didn't know how to switch to the 2nd caller or that the issue was with my particular phone so I never thought to post about it. The older posts are from almost a year ago! Sprint & Samsung must have had heard about this by now so I hope they have a solution. Please let me know if there is a fix or any way to remedy this. Thanks.
