Major keyboard lag after updste

It's anyone eagle noticing a lag for the keyboard to pop up to type? I am noticing it in all applications its really annoying it was fine before the update. Any suggestions??

Noticing that the lag is with the swype keyboard and not the samsung keyboard.... any ideas?

I know this is a stupid question, but have you turned your phone off then back on for a full cold boot?

Yea a couple times. I downloaded swift key instead of swype and it seems to be better already.

I experienced the same thing. I am rooted and didn't do the factory wipe when I downloaded the new update and had the same problem with the keyboard not popping up quickly at all. I finally did the full factory wipe and there is no issue at all with the keyboard at all.

Ok, I too am having the same irritating issue after update. How do you do a factory wipe and will I lose stuff when I do? If so what? Thanks!

I found the problem to be swype. I downloaded SwiftKey and haven't had the problem since. Oh and I use handcent for a messaging app too.

have the same problem with Swype after update, however I am not rooted.
