Making Call From Desk Dock

Anyone having issues with not being able to make a call while in dock mode? I have no phone icon and have to exit to get back to the normal mode.

This is the only thing I could find searching for it and I don't have the phone icon they mention either.

Basically, it's a workaround. You have to have used the phone as one of your last few applications for it to show up and be available for use.

Sorry for the late response. I forgot where I posted my question and I guess I don't have any notifications turned on. Anyway, this sucks. Wish there was something else like a way to put the phone icon on the desktop. Oh well for now. Thanks for the response.
