Malware in one app on galaxy s3

[AC Question]

Hi I'm new to this site but from what I've read this is the place to go for problems with your android. I have a galaxy s3 and my AVG antivirus detected malware in an app titled VZWAVSService. I've ran lookout and avast and it doesn't detect it. I tried to uninstall but it always says uninstall unsuccessful. I'm assuming this app came preloaded on my phone. What can i do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It did come preloaded, it is from verizon, it lets you have mobile data (so do not uninstall) and AVG is throwing off a false positive.

It is a service that allows you to connect to Verizon. Do not uninstall....

You will probably need to reflashing the stock ROM.

Are you sure? I just disabled it on my note 3 and mobile data works fine.
