and 2.1 keyboard is the same keyboard as before - it's new feature is the voice dictation. you can write whole sentences with speech alone. pretty cool, but when i was using it i could never get a comma...i always got the word 'koma'

as far as the desk clock...i'm not sure - i never used mine so i went to check what it displays and it says it can't get the weather info. awesome.

As for the weather mine initially did the same thing, but then it finally came up. I'm guessing that it's linked to the news/weather widget and my not come up if that wasn't selected.
