Manage contact list question ref texts

First off, greets to all here. Just moved over to EVO and Android and so far I'm loving it.

When using the contact list, I don't like that for every contacts entered phone numbers, there is a "Send Message" link that corresponds to each number. I have contacts that have mobile, home, work, fax, etc and obviously, can't send a text message to any except the mobile number(s). I have one conact that has 12 (!!) numbers but, only 1 is mobile. It sucks looking at a contact list that is 24 entries long because of the extra 11 useless "Send Message" entries.

Is there a way to remove useless automatically generated "Send Message" entries?

I second the question. I noticed it too and find it very annoying but with no way to change it. Anyone?

I'm with the OP as well. Why send a text message to a non mobile phone? Anyway to change this?
