Managing many mail accounts

So I got my D4 the other day, got it all setup and it's generally working well. I have 4 GMail accounts and 1 Corporate Sync account that i get on my phone. All of them are synching. However... my primary GMail account (the first Google account I added to my phone) shows up in the Motorola email application (the unified email application) AND in the GMail application, so when I get an email on that account I get two notifications, one from each app. On my D2 I had all of my GMail accounts setup in the GMail app and didn't use the Moto app (if there even was one), so I had separate apps for GMail and Corporate Sync.

I don't really care for Moto's unified app, so I wanted to add my other 3 gmail accounts to the GMail app, except that it says that they are already setup (even though they do not appear visible in the GMail app). When you go into the GMail app and try to add an account it takes you into the damn Moto "my accounts" app. So there doesn't appear to be any way to add accounts independently into the GMail app, nor is there any way (that I see) to delete the primary account from the GMail app, either.

Basically, in an effort to provide a customized, unified communications app Moto has screwed things up quite nicely. Likewise with the social media services and their own Moto-provided Twitter, LinkedIn, etc accounts. I deleted my accounts from there and installed the service-provided apps and set up the accounts there instead.

Maybe I should just delete all of the accounts from the Moto app?
