Mapping the quick launch key

I just upgraded from a Treo Pro to the Marquee. I had an Android tab before this phone so while there is a learning curve I am making decent progress.

On my Treo, there was a side button that would toggle the wifi on and off. I like to keep it off to conserve battery. Is there anyway to program the side toggle on the marquee to change that particular setting? I know I can set it to open the settings window but I want to go to a level even beyond that.

Just download and install Wifi OnOff from market. Then set quick launch to launch it and it will bring you straight to that app to toggle the wifi enable
