Wow, that IS a surprise!! I was not expecting that...

Wonder what the new/enhanced features are..

The 'Call & Text from other devices' feature was added on my device (wifi model).

I haven't noticed anything else.

Does anyone have any feeback on what new 'junk' Samsung throws on the system when you do updates. I have been refusing any updates until I know all of what they include. I am getting very tired of 'new apps and crap' they force onto the system you have not control over to remove or shut down. Love the HW, hate the SW.

Had this thing in a drawer for quite awhile and boot it up to find out the latest security patch available is March 2020? Kind of a joke isn't it? Only 18 months stale. That's really unacceptable. But worse it's still running android 9? An even bigger joke. This will be my last Samsung anything and it's going back into Rip Van Winkle mode untill maybe in another 6 to 8 months I might get a current security update so I can actually safely use it. Oh, and maybe, just maybe , fingers and toes crossed they will update us to android 10 in another year or so. But doubtful.

How do you get these updates? I've not had much luck getting anything off the Samsung site.
Keep in mind that you're replying in a thread about the Tab S3, and I believe you have a Tab 3 (which is 4 years older than the Tab S3). The Tab 3 only got as high as Android 4.4.2, I believe, which probably won't be able to do too much with modern apps or the modern web. If you wanted a higher Android version, you'd have to consider installing a custom ROM like Lineage.

Where and how to find this ROM Lineage?

Oh, the site is tricky. For discontinued devices, those are hidden in the filter. I found the Tab 3 7", but I need the 10". I'm looking now.

Not finding it.

Not understanding the issue?
I moved all the info out of the Tab S3 to the Tab 3 10.1 on the site. My mistake of not knowing there was another device with a close name.
