market slow after 2.2 update?

i installed the update around 6am, and since, my market has been taking forever to load the main apps, searches, and even downloads.

anyone else getting this, and is there a fix?

No, in fact my marketplace has never been faster. Are you experiencing any of the other probems others (mostly who ewere rooted/rolled back or pre-released) are having?

never rooted, never rolled back...i used the first leaked 2.2 update, but rolled back to 2.1 and had the phone replaced due to my phone "creaking" and not feeling sturdy

this one i just left stock...i may do a factory wipe if it doesnt clear up

i also am experiencing this. no root or anything. completely stock. its unbearable. and the phone itself lags terribly. i cannot multi-task at all. it freezes. no going on the web or anything while listening to espn radio or the like. im ready to take it to verizon and throw it at them.

No issues here. I was completely stock before the upgrade to 2.2. Market's speedy fast. Phone was a little sluggish the first 15-20 minutes after updating. After that everything appears to be sorted out.

I too noticed this same thing this morning... I honestly think there might be something going on with the market, or possibly something was going on in the background that I just didn't know, as it just resolved itself after about an hour.

Everything's running peachy now.

I've had problems with the Market ever sense I updated to 2.2 but not the same as what you are describing. When I updated it started downloading the 10 apps that needed to be updated and about 7 of them still said "downloading..." 8 hours later. I restarted the phone and now all those apps say installed. Then another app updated today and it's stuck on "downloading..." too. I don't feel like restarting again and the app still works but it's really anoying seeing it there downloading.

This morning the app market was unbelievably slow, however, now it's faster than it ever was with 2.1.

+1. As soon as I installed the update I launched everything on my phone to make sure it was working properly and the only thing that was CRAWLING along was the Marketplace. It even became unresponsive at one point when I updated Gmail, still showed it as downloading when it had been installed and running for ten minutes. I just shut the phone off, powered it back on and the Marketplace launched just fine.

DAMN I love 2.2!
