Any hints at when we will see Android OS 6.0 for Samsung Galaxy s6? Anything more specific than 2016 Q1?

Samsung already beta tested 6.0.1 to s6 users in UK. I bet in late january or early february marshmallow will be released to S6.

As for S5, around march or april. It depends on how well the marshmallow is treating S6. If it is buggy, it will be around april. If good, it will be around march.

I've flashed the 6.0.1 beta firmware on my Galaxy S6 recently. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but I was very disappointed with the battery life - Android OS drains the battery rapidly and I lost 35% in 6.5 hours with nothing on but WiFi. Downgraded to Lollipop 5.1.1, and not updating to Marshmallow till Samsung resolves the issue.

After major android upgrades, dont forget to do a factory reset. It will eliminate some problems like battery drain.
