Forget the H, what about the T? I kid, I know it's up to T-Mobile to decide when and how to release it.

Yesterday I surprisingly recieved the 6.01 OTA update for my XSG 900F UAE device, which always was one of the last to get updates, yay :)

All the Philippines firmwares are carrier branded, Globe, Open Line, Sun Cellular and Smart. So it depends on them.

Let's see who finds out first about the update for those variants ending in "W8" :p

Canadians took the Android 5.1.1 release of Lollipop, so they're at the back of the queue/line I am afraid.

Don't worry, I've got a guy who is tasked specifically with watching for the Canadian, G900W8, and Verizon/AT&T launches of Marshmallow.

I just want the T-Mobile build to flipping come out already. It's the last official update that will come out for the device.

Been on Android Marshmallow for nearly 3 months now. So many updates... so little time.

ironass motto... It's good to be on unbranded stock Samsung firmware.

(written, tongue-in-cheek ;))

I can honestly say that thanks to those 2 last posts, I am PMSL. :D

Thanks can3gxw and B. Diddy. You've managed to turn around a rubbish day for me.

If only the S5 900F had all the American LTE bands. S6 and S7 do. Love the Dwarf reference.

With the S6 and S7, we are beginning to see that some users in the U.S. are switching from the usual U.S. carrier minority variants with their locked bootloaders, bloatware and lack of fast updates and grabbing the Global models on stock Samsung firmware. Hopefully, this will be a wakeup call for U.S. carriers and make them think twice about carrier minority variants, bloatware and locked bootloaders. Samsung, in an effort to get out faster updates, have drastically reduced their S7 portfolio to a Global model (192 countries) + 8 U.S. carrier models + 3 Korean carrier models + 3 China carrier models + 1 Canadian regional model.
