Just updated my M8 to marshmallow. Now it's quicker. So far so good.

Just finished updating. HOLY CRAP that took a long time! If I remember correctly, it downloaded a total of 2 firmware updates and 3 OS updates. Killed the crap out of my battery!

My Verizon M8 just finished updating, too. It did take a long time! When mine got done, I got an error message that Google Play Services needed to be updated. I clicked the message and it took me to the Play Store. The only option was to deactivate Play Services, which of course it wouldn't let me do. I restarted several times, clicking the message each time. I tried doing nothing to see if a download would start. The download looked like it started, but would never finish. After several restarts (because the message goes away, and the Store couldn't be used), it finally updated.

Just an FYI...perhaps the site is overloaded with updates. Everything is fine now, but it was about two hours altogether before everything was finally done (including the Play Services update).

How long did your guys phone stay on the Verizon Red Screen when booting into the update?

OTA update via Verison complete, only issue is that Google Play store not updating any of the HTC apps. All others updated fine.
Anyone else seeing this? Maybe its just that the server is getting bombarded since the MM update?

Definitely a long update, I'm stuck in the Google Play Services error now but so far happy with the rest of the update - admittedly it's only been like 10 minutes but the M8 and Lollipop just never seemed to get along for me...phone seems to be moving quickly like the good ole' days of KitKat :)

Same here.
But I'm sure it will sort itself out.

Downloaded last night right after midnight on T-mobile, but didn't install until this morning. Downloaded pretty quickly.
Update took about 2 hours total. Spent the next hour or so doing various app updates through the play store.
Some HTC apps gave errors, and some didn't. I'll try to update those again later.

Changed a bunch of permissions, and updated some settings.
Seems to be working quite well.
Feels a lot more snappy. Lollipop really slowed it down. Sometimes it would take 10+ seconds just to open the twitter app. Now its under 2.
Also just realized phone doesn't feel warm anymore, even just from regular use.

Definitely a fan of the update for now.

Update:
Also, been on battery for 4 hours (did MM update and all app updates on AC), and only down about 23%. Some quick YouTube-ing, many GIFs, chats, texts, web usage, and 2 calls. Normally, I'd probably be at 50-60% after that kind of usage, so seeing improvements already. Yay!

Verizon, Ohio....

Mine is updating now. Fingers crossed. There were issues in Lollipop that I hope get fixed now.

Just noticed mine was downloading something, checked it was the update. I was just thinking I might have to reset my phone it has been so wonky lately, very slow and missing screen touches. hopefully this will help resolve. Fingers crossed.

The update did take a long time here too but finished without issue. Updated all apps fine too.
I have noticed that my battery is draining quite a lot today. Also, and this is something I have never seen before, but the biggest battery drain is the T-Mobile app!! According to Gsam it is using 77%. After 2h 13m 25% of my battery has been used. That's massive. I can normally get 18-20 hours out of my battery.
