Mashmallow update problems for Lenovo k3

hello,i hav updated my lenovo k3 Note recently to mashmallow.Since then Im facing problems.The UI stops responding and i cant use it for a long time.It does come back to its senses after 5 to 6 hours.Also,the battery drains out like hell when its on idle.Call logs and contacts dont seem to load at all.It feels as if it isnt stable.Help me....what can i do????

Have you tried to backup all data and do a factory data reset?

I had the same problem as soon as I upgraded to marshmallow. The device heated like a furnace. UI was a bit laggy! I had to reset the device and now I my problem is solved.
