Marshmallow update?

Hmmm... I checked out Samsung's website and it only shows the 9.7" model as having Marshmallow. The 8" variants still show Lollipop. So maybe Samsung is rolling them out by model and not all at once.

I have the Tab S2 Nook, which is an 8" model.

No sm-t810 (9.7)btu showing here, gutted got it a couple of days ago fully expecting marshmallow update, wtf are Samsung doing they are even slower than OnePlus...

What country/region? US/Canada 9.7" variant is getting the update. It rolled out in Germany and UK, but it seems the UK was halted for some reason.

Totally unacceptable for a company of this size... Supposed top line tablet and it's running 5.0.2 and February's security update :(

Actually, I believe it is supposed to be 5.1.1. That is the version I'm running. At least that is what was pushed out here in the US back in March.

Not in the UK we never got 5.1.1 or any security updates since February, I have checked their firmware page...

Has anyone else had an issue with the update not installing? The times now I've downloaded the update, had the tablet restart to install it, get an error type screen and them it reboots and starts up normally. I'm attaching the message I get once it restarts. Says something about using smart switch.

Smart Switch replaced Kies. How much available space do you have on the tablet?

I have an unlocked Tab S2 LTE 8" (SM-T715C) from China that is still running 5.0.2 and I am extremely disappointed that it will not update to Marshmallow, nor even the latest Lollipop 5.1.1. My other Tab S2 9.7 (SM-T810) from the US updated to Marshmallow last week just fine. What are the options for a manual update of the one from China?

That's your call, but the Tab S2 is an excellent device with or without Marshmallow. Samsung has excellent device support. Just because they haven't updated your tablet as fast as you want doesn't mean they have poor support.

For a £350 tablet you at least expect upto date security patches and how old is 5.0.2 it's not really good enough is it....

Lollipop 5.0.2 is only about four months old and Lollipop 5.0 itself is only a year. Come on, how often do you really think updates come out?

Lollipop was good enough for you when you bought the tablet. What functionality does Marshmallow bring that you can't actually live without?
