Can anyone confirm that these two apps work on the nexus? I'd like to abandon my aging lameass archie 101 for this tablet.

I saw a review on youtube and one of the apps he showed off on the review was the marvel app

The marvel app works on my N7. The font is a little small to me. Seems better suited on my SII than on the N7.

Marvel app is acting funny for me on my N7. I'll load up a comic, double tap to go into guided mode then after I go through a couple panels the screen just displays black. If I tap the middle of the screen it will bring up the menu and show the page number. If I go back to the store then go back in to the comic then I can get through a couple more panels. Anyone else have this issue? The comic I was trying to read was Avengers vs. X-men 7.

I'm having the same issue as Pwersha, after flipping through a few panes the screen will go black. I have this issue in both the comixology and marvel apps, on all of the comics I've tried reading.

I wonder if this is a new thing. Was there an update to the app? I'll double check when I get home, but it worked fine on the one I read last night. The issue I had was the small fonts.

Was able to read all three of these without a problem.

The secret avengers #1
Avengers vs X-Men program
Marvel mix-tape 2012

It looks like it happens when you're in guided view and you move to the next page. Outside of guided view it seems to work fine.

I just tried Comixology and noticed the same thing. Both work fine when not using Guided Mode but with the screen size of the Nexus 7, it really is the way to go.

Edit: I will try my Galaxy nexus here in a bit, maybe it is a Jelly Bean thing.

I tried it on my Galaxy Nexus. Works just fine in Guided Mode. Both devices have version 3.0.4 of the Marvel app. I hope they come out with an update soon to fix this.

I reached out to Comixology support about this and they said they are very close to having an update ready to fix it. I believe Marvel and DC both use the same underlying code so I am sure they are coming as well. I am just glad to hear they knew of the issue.

Update is out on Play for Marvel and Comixology. Tested them out and so far it appears to work fine on the Nexus 7 now.

Comixology app has been working fine for me since yesterday's update. Hooray!

sorry if this is a dumb question but does the marvel app let you use their subscription service, if not is there any way to access it on the N7?

As far as I know it doesn't work with the subscription service, that would be awesome if it did.
