What's different about it?
I only know one new thing and that's the ability to move down the notification bar by swiping down the fingerprint scanner

That's been a feature since before this update. I'm not seeing anything really,the launcher just seems more responsive to me.


Although I do not remember seeing this feature in the previous version, this phone has siuch going on I don't notice something's lol

Will this update allow me to disable all Samsung/Touchwiz/Bixby crap? I'm so close to returning this marvelous piece of hardware because of how aggressively they're pushing their half-baked software on me. I spent $1k on a piece of hardware, I don't want others to dictate me what software and services I use with it.

TRUTH I feel ya. same reaction I had my first few days. I still kinda po'd, but root will solve most of my issues. hope they can do it this time around.

and I doubt that it will allow that. try Bixby Remapper if you haven't already. I turned everything I could off and remapped the button to QuickPic.

So with all of the notifications that you get on this phone why doesn't something like this pop up to let you know they are available for update?

By the way, I had no update for Touchwiz like some on here did.... but I can already pull down notifications from the top no matter what screen I am on so not sure if that means anything.

It's not the ability to pull notifications from the top that was added. It is the ability to swipe down from anywhere on the homescreen to pull them down. Very handy feature that many 3rd party launchers have had for many years now.

No, it definitely wasn't there before. Nice catch!

Says my device is not compatible with the version in the play store.

Mine says the same thing. I'm on AT&T. I'll bet this will only work for non-carrier specific Notes. The Play Store is telling me there's an SNotes update but I'm not taking it as I've just installed the Action Memo stuff and I don't want to screw it up.

No Touchwiz update here, either. Following the link above, it says it's incompatible with my device. I'm on AT&T here. There must be some thing(s) That the AT&T folks want to change before they release it for us.

There is a new setting in live note that may help with the problem of trying to text oversized live note messages.

Strange, t guys is what I get on my TMobile version.

Same here on my AT&T phone.
