Mate 9 Lockscreen

I've noticed that I don't have persistent notifications on my mate 9 lock screen. For instance, when listening to Spotify I don't get controls on the lock screen for pause, skip, etc. Is there any way to fix this?

Do you have that particular app set to close when screen is locked? That could cause it to not show

Not that I'm aware of. All the settings are stock. Haven't really changed anything.

Notification and Status Bar > Notification Management. Controls for all, for each app. Lock screen etc.

Much more thorough and better than I've seen on Android before. More like iOS 9+

Having the same problem as Mrhettrich. Allowing "display on lock screen" -option doesn't unfortunately change anything. Have tried various of other stuff too but nothing seems to help.

Edit: I was able to get the lock screen controls temporarily by listening to spotify via computer and pausing it from the phone, then turning off the screen of the phone and unpausing the music from computer. The next time i would open the screen, the controls would be there. But the second time you open the screen, controls won't be there anymore.. Not helping anything or anyone but at least it worked. Hopefully huawei gets this fixed soon.
And yeah, the problem isn't because of spotify and android 7.0 because with my nexus 6p it works like a charm.
