Guess I have to get a new case to match the dumbed down, whited out, sterile look of my phones UI now, how hard would it be to provide options to at least make all white turn black.

Black like a sick blacked out lambo, black like Johnny Cash.

If i'm in a club or any ambient situation I'm blinded by white pixels, white is so negative utopian.

Could not agree more.

I DETEST this white screen crap on a cellular level (npi). It's pervasive in the Google world. With the flat dull childlike icons, sudden limit of choices (no dark theme), this is a GIANT Hulk-like leap backward. I used to advise people thinking about buying an iPhone to get Android (on Nexus 5). Kiss that recommendation goodbye. Meanwhile, OS X Yosemite is offering a dark theme for the FIRST TIME EVER. Way to let the competition leap forward while you leap backward, Google. Can't begin to describe how much I hate your glaring ugly screens now...

If only there were some way of changing the look and feel of the Android system. Some kind of, I don't know.. launcher app.. that could.. hmm.. replace the default launcher. And then, if only people could create... I know... packs of icons that would replace the defaults. It'd be so wonderful if these kinds of things existed in one easily accessible location so they could be acquired. Alas.. I guess it's not to be.
