May Update?

Re: It is Friday, May 10th. Still no update.

I assumed you checked Settings>System>Advanced>System Updates to see if it's there. That's what I had to do.

Re: It is Friday, May 10th. Still no update.

This is not the first time. Updates goes out in batches, so just be patient.
If June comes around and still no update, then I would start investigating.

Re: It is Friday, May 10th. Still no update.

I've also tried restarts, sim pulls, is there something else to try?

Try patience.....I know that's not always easy but there isn't much you can do besides that or wait, check for update, or side load. The rest of the stuff people recommend usually works by coincidence. I've heard that killing a chicken sometimes works, but live ones are hard to find depending on where you live and I haven't seen them on Amazon.
🤣🤣🤣

I wouldn't be surprised if they identified a minor issue with the update for the 3 line and held it up for a few days. I'd rather they do it right than do it quick. Sure, it'd be nice if we were immediately informed of any delays, but we all know that kind of thing virtually never happens, regardless of the company.

I think as of now it's seems to be certain carriers.

I thought the carrier didn't matter for updates to unlocked devices?

It has in the past with Pixels. It still has to be carrier approved so it may be rolled out based on IMEI numbers. Seems to be TMobile and Fi.

Pixel 2 xl is not on beta , pixel 3xl is and download after checking for updates

Once you check for an update, you'll get the "you have the current version" message for 24 hours, so once a day is the fastest effective checking you can do.

Or you can download the update from Google | Full OTA Images for Nexus and Pixel Devices and sideload it through recovery. (Or, if you have the bootloader unlocked, download the full firmware from Google | Factory Images for Nexus and Pixel Devices and fastboot it [remember to remove the -w or it will wipe the phone].)

They were a little late this year - I can usually grab it by noon (eastern) on the first Monday - this time I dodn't see it until after 3 o'clock. I guess you get spoiled when the phone is updated, TWRPed and Magisked by 1 PM.

I've gotten it by checking later in the day so I'm not clear on how that once a day rule comes into play....unless I missed your point.

You didn't miss it - Google must have changed the rules. They used to say that you'd have to keep setting your date to the next day until you got the update if you wanted to keep checking.

It's been hard to tell who is on what carrier from the posts. I'm on Verizon but on Q beta so it's a different process.
