Media files (Youtube, audio books etc) pause for no reason

As far as I can tell only my watch was connected but I've unpaired it but the problem is still there if I have the bluetooth activated. Is there some way to reset the bluetooth?

See if there's an option to Reset Network Settings in the system settings. Or you could also go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, and look for Bluetooth system apps, then clear their app caches and data.

Certain appliances can interfere with the 2.4 GHz band (which is used by both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wi-fi), like microwaves, so if you have anything like that in the house, try unplugging them.

My only option under setting>apps>bluetooth> is to "force stop" There is no option to clear their app caches and data.

Ok faster way , go settings type in top search bar reset do you see option rest wifi, mobile, blutooth tap it and choose reset

It didn't bring up anything for resetting bluetooth (or anything else) I could reset finger prints or passwords or do a factory reset but nothing about network reset or bluetooth reset.

Does anyone have any other ideas? There must be some fix to this problem now that we know it's bluetooth oriented?

Doesn't matter what media player I use....it pauses without being ask to.

actually it does make a difference if the media player is at fault. pausing could be from a lot resources being used in the background, could be reading the media files slowly or other. the app could have had a bad update and is corrupted. trying another player will help determine if it is the phone or the media player app is having the problem. but if you dont want to help us to help you, that is your choice.

How about my previous question about appliances? Does this happen outside of your house as well?
@me just saying, it sounds like the media doesn't pause when Bluetooth is turned off, though, so it sounds like the media itself isn't necessarily the culprit.

but it still needs to be 100 percent eliminated. bluetooth access is still part of the coding in the app itself.

Yeah I agree here maybe the app controlling bluetooth , cant rule anything out yet .

Sorry...You misunderstood me. What I should have said is "it doesn't matter WHICH media player I use, they all do it!" Musicolet, Pocketcast, Tunein radio, Youtube, google play music ect.....they all pause after 5 to 10 seconds. But if I turn my bluetooth off they all work perfect again until I turn it back on again. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I'm in 14 day isolation right now so I can't get outside my house but I have two other android phones and they're working fine so I don't think its my microwave.

Odd issue. Is your wi-fi 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz (or a mix)? If it's 2.4 GHz only, can you switch to 5 GHz temporarily and see if that does anything (with Bluetooth turned on)?

OK. My wifi is 2.4 GHz. I don't know how to change it over to 5 GHz. I did try turning my wifi off and the bluetooth on and the audio book I had on paused after 5 seconds. Turned the bluetooth off and it back to working perfect. BY the way....I want to thank everyone for their help with this little problem.

Ok. i'm in recovery! A bit scary. My options are "install from storage device" or "online Update (keep data)" or "Wipe Data" or "Reboot" or "Power off" or "Check disk" or "Ver 1.2" What do I do next?
