How can I get my Droid X to play the tracks from an album in proper album sequence? I have the standard media player and DoubleTwist, but both seem to organize tracks alphabetically instead of by track number.

I apologize if this has been answered in previous threads, but I had no luck with the search.

Are the songs set up in order. I put all my music into Itunes and edit the info like add album art work and set the tracks in order to the album. Try that and se if it works. Mine play in order. It will show your tracks like one of ten two of ten.

Mine does the same thing.. When i transferred the folder all i did was drag and drop from iTunes.. It shows them in the folder the correct order, the X player just shuffles the songs for some reason.. I need a fix for this as well.

I have the same problem but with some AAC albums unable to play at all. If the leaked 2.2 Froyo is any indication of the direction the music player is headed, expect it to be worse when updated. I'm hoping that it is a bug and that it is truly fixed with the official update.
For now I can only get MP3 to work properly which sucks, even encoded at 320k I still hear artifacts. I really miss my AAC library.

Yep, I have the same problem on my Incredible. None of the AAC files I ripped from CD using iTunes (on a Mac) play anymore. The Music app complains that it's unable to play that file type, and it also doesn't recognize the artist tag (it lists them as "<unknown>"). It does, however, handle the AAC files I bought from the iTunes store correctly.
