Media player showing up when away from home

S24 and have a Google speaker connected to Google Home and when my wife plays something at home on the speaker, the media player pops up on my phone no matter if I'm home or away. If I click to stop the music it stops playing at home. This seems to only be happening after the new update. I don't want speaker activity showing up on my phone at all. How do I still allow Spotify access on speaker without it displaying media controls on my phone?

To prevent others on your Wi-Fi network from controlling your media casting, turn off Cast media control notifications on your streaming device or your speaker or display.

1. Open the Google Home app

3. Touch and hold your device's tile
   
   tap Settings
   
   
   Recognition & sharing.
4. Turn Let others control your cast media off.

That was already toggled off.

You may be seeing Spotify's own controls then if you're using the same account on the phone and on the speaker. For that one you can go to Spotify's settings, tap the 'Apps and devices' section and scroll down to Other devices. The toggle to turn Spotify Connect control on/off is there.
