I'm not sure if it's when I'm in my car, or just connected to Bluetooth, but this media player pop up keeps appearing on the screen. I can't seem to disable it even though in the settings it says it's disabled. How do I get rid of it? Screenshot attached.

You should be able to swipe it away. It's if you are listening to a podcast then pause, I get that as well and it's how Android 12 functions. If you unlock your phone and swipe down once you can swipe to the right and dismiss it.

I would agree with dmxjago that this appears to be from Google Podcasts (that's the icon you see there).

I have not listened to any Google podcasts ever. I have swiped it away every single time, and it reappears every single time. Any other suggestions? I appreciate the suggestion to swipe something away, which is a pretty basic function. Anyone else have any more in-depth ideas?

Right, but even if you haven't listened to a Google Podcast, the icon suggests that it's the root cause, so it still helps to guide us a little.

Just to be sure, you don't have the Google Podcasts app installed, right?

What app do you normally listen to via Bluetooth on your car stereo?

Maybe try clearing storage of the Podcasts app? Or just uninstall it if you don't plan to ever use it. It can always be reinstalled later if you decide you want to give it a go.

Go to settings>in top search par type media then tap first option>turn off show media Screenshot_20211120-122254.jpg

This looks like a bug from Android 12. This happened during the beta. I get it without Bluetooth and even though everything is closed media-wise on my phone, I will have a media player in my quick settings. It can be annoying. I am hoping it will be fixed through an update.
