My only question about these tablets is general is this. If they are WiFi only, without a phone carrier, how does google maps and navigation work on these things.
I am considering getting a Verizon tablet on my dataplan and then just a tiny, simple, dumb phone.

I use an Optimus V rooted with CM7.1 and find this device to be a perfect satellite device. Even at the full $55 a month u can't beat it for unlimited everything plan without a contract.

Beyond Amazon, it's at a few other retailers like Fry's. I just posted a 30 minute video review over at MobileTechReview. I'm really liking it because I tend to use the keyboard and USB port more often than I did with my Transformer (yes, I'm too lazy to get up and fetch the dock). The Slider's display is brighter with a more neutral color bias.

I pay the extra for Mobile WiFi Hotspot on my phone and then just connect my tablet to the Internet through my phone, when I don't have WiFi available. My phone being a Thunderbolt, which means it has 4G, makes this work really well. And I can use my Hotspot to tether my laptop too, and my g/f can tether her iPad and her laptop to it. too.

Multiple devices sharing one data plan. Much better than paying for a dedicated data plan that just works for the tablet.
