Re: What is <HTCData><VIPCall/></HTCData> and how do i use it

Welcome to Android Central! Are you seeing that associated with a contact? If so, did you used to own an HTC phone in the past? I believe HTC phones allowed you to designate contacts in certain ways (in this case, as a VIP), which would cause a little code like this to be associated with the contact. That code probably ended up syncing with your Google Contacts, then shows up when your contacts got synced to your current phone.

Re: <HTCData></Private></HTCData>

Welcome to Android Central! This kind of thing is usually related to a previous phone you had. I'm guessing you had an HTC phone at some point -- that contact was probably marked as Private on that phone, which was designated by that code (meant only for the HTC phone to read). When it was synced to your Google Contacts and then synced to your subsequent phones, that code ended up showing up. Nothing to worry about, you can just erase that comment or leave it alone.
