[MEGATHREAD] What is user: DOBULE_APP

[Android Central Question]

Dear All,

I have observed recently in my mobile, a job "user: dobule_app" is running in the background and it looks weird because when i search on internet, i could not find anything related to this. Also, i tried to stop that but unable to do so.

Can anyone suggest me what is that for?

Does your phone have the feature that allows the user to have two different accounts for certain social media apps at the same time (like for Facebook or Twitter)?

Hey I recently saw this stuff I don't know whether it is an virus or what. I fount it on My Iqoo z3 device plz share if you know something about this.

Its name reminds me of the Paso Doble dance.

There was a post about it a few weeks ago and all I can remember is that a) it is nothing to do with the Paso Doble dance, and b) it may be something to do with online food ordering. That exhausts my recollection.
More importantly, why do you think that it may be a virus or hacking app?

Welcome to Android Central! If you mean "user double", that probably means it allows you to have two different instances of the app for two different accounts (like for social media apps if you have more than one account).

My iqoo 7 phone shows that an app names "user: DOBULE_APP" uses maximum data in my phone. But there's no such app, neither am I using any app clone. Does anyone has an answer to this?

Welcome to the forums. I've found just a few reports about that same issue and all of them are related to Vivo phones, like yours. I didn't see any explanation of what that process could be.

I wonder if it's a translation error in some app or system process that you have installed. "Double_apps" usually refers to the feature that lets you use different accounts in some apps. Also, there are some apps with that name that are used to hide apks and make them look as a calculator, for example. Are you using anything similar?

No is this a hack? Why so much data is using by this
