Android Central Question

Dear All,

I have observed recently in my mobile, a job "user: dobule_app" is running in the background and it looks weird because when i search on internet, i could not find anything related to this. Also, i tried to stop that but unable to do so.

Can anyone suggest me what is that for?

Thank you.

Regards.

Merci

Welcome to Android Central! Via Google Translate: "Hello, I have the same problem, the same screenshots as the other speakers. I've read all the threads of the exchanges and couldn't find an answer or solution there. I looked on my phone (vivo y21s) for this application but it is not there, or I do not know where to look. how should I do to delete or deactivate it because my internet plan is small (2go) and it consumed everything in 24 hours. THANKS"

We unfortunately have not been able to find any definitive answer about this. My suspicion has been this is related to some kind of "app clone" or "dual app" feature, where the user can create more than one instance of an app (typically a chat app or social media app), each instance for a different account (and "DOBULE" is simply a misspelling of "DOUBLE"). This would contribute to using more data. Probably the best you can do at this point is to contact Vivo tech support and ask them if they can explain more about it.

Hello
I am currently experiencing the same problem , I have this "user:dobule _app" on my phone data usage, yet it doesn't appear in the app list, nor does it show options to delete or disable it.
I have contacted Vivo technical support and they response is that it's not their app and they know nothing of it.The best suggestion from Vivo was to do a factory reset.

Welcome to Android Central! Thanks for letting us know your experience with Vivo support -- I think you're the first person on this thread to have actually contacted them!

However, it's possible the tech support person you spoke to wasn't experienced enough to know what this is (the first tier low-level support people often don't know a lot of the more esoteric details of the system). I don't think this is an app per se, but rather a feature (i.e., the ability to create a second instance of an app for a different account username). So if you asked the support person specifically about an app called "USER: DOBULE_APP", they might have looked through their app list, didn't find anything, and called it a day. You could try calling them back, asking to escalate to a higher tier support person, and ask them specifically it this is a feature for creating dual account apps.

If you don't mind the hassle, you could also do a factory reset, make sure not to restore from any backup (so that it's booting up in pristine condition, and not automatically installing any other apps), and then see if that shows up. If it does, then you know it is in fact part of the system.

It feels like some hacking and it takes data so much. No normal app take this much data . Like it is transferring my data
You can simply remove this by going settings>apps>app clone then look for the 3 dots on the top right then youll see a reset button

after that the dobule app should be remove by that time

sorry for my english cuz im not really good at it

Welcome to Android Central, and thanks for the tip! I don't have a phone with this issue, so I can't test it -- it'll be interesting to see if it solves the problem for anyone else.

It opens when you tried to clone someting specifically on vivo phones, it will run another google play services process as you can see here i think thats why it consumes a lot of data

even if you tried to remove a cloned app, dobule app will still run so you need to reset it on the settings
