Memory cards

Talk to me about memory cards. I know 256GB is the biggest the S3 can handle. What Class and UHS should I be looking for?

All depends on what you looking to do with the card 😃 If you doing 1080p video recording at 30fps or lower then any card with a "Class 10 + UHS I" will be perfect. Anything faster is just a waste of money.

If you looking to store Apps (A1 Class), Games or record 4K (UHD) video then a card with "Video Class V30 or UHS 3" is something you should be on the lookout for.

Hope this helps a bit and doesn't complicate things to much. Bottom line, if you get the card you mentions, you will be good to go for all scenarios.

Mostly Dropbox and Plex streaming. If there's a less expensive solution I'd love to hear about it.

I went with a Lexar 128GB "High-Performance 633x microSDXC UHS-I/U1 Class 10" memory card in my S3, and am glad I did. I bought it for just $49.99 CAD, which works out to a mere $38US.

The one I linked above is unavailable. I've been trying to determine how this one is different but I haven't found it. What am I missing? (Aside from the color)

I'm holding out for Prime Day because I heard memory cards would be heavily discounted.
