Just waiting for nationwide band n41 mid-band, to go with the current band n71 low-band. Then I'll buy a 5G phone. Would be nice if they would build out bands n260 and n261 mmWave as well.
The 5G phones that you can buy from T-Mobile already have Band 41 capability. They're just waiting for the merger to be finalized and the networks combined so they can turn it on. T-Mobile's near-term plans are centered around low and mid-band 5G, which is the 5G that will actually matter to most people; the range of millimeter wave is so limited that deployments will likely never get beyond a few very densely populated areas.
