Mesmerize camera - why photos are sideways?

When I take a photo the normal way of holding my phone the photos are sideways when viewing or uploading to Facebook. Why and how can I change that setting? I've tried everthing in the camera setting, doesn't seem to be a rotate function? Anyone? This is really annoying. A friend of mine has a different phone/android and she has the rotation function on her camera. Anyone have any ideas what to do about this?

i have the same issue, no matter if i change the side in the gallery it still uploads the pics sideways...annoying Google!

when viewing the photo in the gallery, hit the menu button, then it will give you option to rotate the picture

When you hold you phone in portrait mode you are holding it in the incorrect fashion to take a photo. Photos are meant to be taken in landscape mode. You can take them in portrait but they will continue to be sideways .

Hope that helps. You also have a digital zoom if you push the volume down key.

Very annoying but there is a workaround. Open the picture in Paint, rotate it the correct way, save it as a .png then save it as a .jpg. When you upload it to your Google contacts, it will show the correct orientation.
