Message app issues

The 3 dots--settings--on message app is no longer in upper right corner, and I cannot unspam certain contacts as in the past. How can I get the 3 dots--settings--icon back?

Not sure, but doesn't the S4 still have a Menu button? That should do the trick.

I tried that as well but to no avail. I had this type of phone in the past, and a friend of mine has one now. I could not get the setting page up to unspam certain texts but was able to do this on another friend's Galaxy S4. I advised my friend to update all apps and do a battery pull. Not sure if she was able to do this yet.
