MessageCS Above Threshold

This has started happening literally in the past 24 hours, never had it happen once in the past year. After a few text messages, sometimes even one, Watchdog reports that MessageCS is above the threshold, sometimes using as much as 50% of resources. I haven't changed any settings. Any idea why this is happening all of sudden?

that's the same problem I'm experiencing. Not only that when I go to applications to try and clear it I can't and it is now sitting at 20.7mb. I even cleaned all my messages out, but to no avail. Any ideas?
