Messages are messing up since the update, how can I fix this problem?

messages are messing up since the update

When I send a long message now that is within the limits of the device, the person who receives it no longer gets one solid message. instead it will be broken up into several messages only a couple lines long and then on top of it they will be all out of order. This didn't happen before the update
