Messages from Samsung override DND

I fell asleep last night wearing the Buds Live and at 1:49 am I was awakened to a Samsung text message alerting me that my order was delivered. Do not disturb was enabled and synced to the Buds in the Wearable app. I called Samsung and they told me that Samsung messages override system settings and that I should try to reset all of my settings. Of course, I'm not going to do that after days of getting all of my settings configured and that advice makes no sense. I recall having this issue with my N10 Plus when payments were made to my Samsung account but I don't remember how I resolved it. I'm going to disable the setting in the Wearable app to read notifications out loud but I'll still get a notification alert which will wake me when Samsung sends a message. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

In Do Not Disturb, look at the setting Allow Exceptions

The only setting I can see to disable is Media sound.
