Messages not sending full res pics

If I'm sending a good picture I usually send it using the Google photos link or Facebook messenger. Mms has always compressed photos I send.

I've done that before and I guess that's what I'll do again.

My husband and father aren't on Facebook and never will be. I love WhatsApp but can't get them to use it. I hate Kik, Line, and Snapchat.

It's so bizarre that this is the area where Apple really excels.

That's bc Apple doesn't use MMS.

It isn't really that bizarre. Apple simply built a system (like WhatsApp) into their OS. That way it is on every single iPhone and usually on by default... Therefore people use it (like the OP) and don't even realize it. Android simply doesn't have a default messenger that Google implements this in.

Google could do it but users on Android can also change over to 3rd party messaging apps for their texts -- iOS can't. They can swap to things like WhatsApp and FB Messenger but if someone sends them a regular SMS it will still go to that default messaging app.
