Android Central Question

My messages notification pops up for the messages app in general, meaning if I get two texts from different people and click on one of them, the notification goes away. I've been missing/not seeing a LOT of texts, because I wake up my phone, click the banner which takes me to the last text received, amd the banner then goes away. Is there any way to get seperate notifications for EACH conversation, or for the banner to stay up until I've seen ALL my texts? (If I open my text messages, there is a little blue bubble next to new ones that I haven't read. I just want that to be a banner or notification, rather than just that little blue spot in the text list). Galaxy s9 plus, native message app (Android messages).

Have you tried another message app like Google messages, to see if still a issue?

This is OP, I registered. No, I haven't tried another app - trying to avoid that but as a last resort I will switch apps

Welcome to the forums. I moved your thread to the S9+ forum where it'll be easier getting help from other owners.

Welcome to Android Central! When you get the notification, is there any indication that there's more than one message? If so, what if you swipe down a little on the notification -- does that expand to show the various messages?

Turn on the message count indicator. You will see when you have unread messages. Sounds like you may be clearing them when checking on one. Good luck
