Messaging App in Sense 3.0

In the messaging app, is there any way to get it to stop displaying their mobile number in parenthesis by their name? It's pretty annoying to see that after their name in every message they send...

I use Handcent SMS instead, it's free, fully customizable, and just rocks!

I started a thread a few days ago regarding this issue:

I also posted on Sprint's board:

I even called Sprint the day I got the phone and they never heard of the problem!

Hope a solution comes soon cause it's soooooooooo annoying! Using Handcent now; it's okay, but rather use Sense 3.0 version.

Does the pop up function for Handcent still work?

I have read on another forum that with Sense 3.0 the pop up function doesnt work with Handcent.

Works just fine for me. There is an option regarding making it work over the lockscreen.
