Like many of you I go between different phones a lot. I'd like to have my messages go with me. Haven't seen this feature yet with Messages or Text (or I just don't know how to do it). Is this possible?

I know it's possible if you have an app that backs up text messaging, Verizons message app has been capable of this since 2014/2015. I'm sure some other apps are as well .

I've used this one for longest and I switch phones weekly .. sometimes every other day ... Saves to my Google Drive you can pick different locations ... And restore on whichever phone I'm using that day ...

When you say you go between different phones, do you mean that you have multiple phones each on their own cellular plan, or do you mean that you swap a SIM card into different devices regularly?

If the former, are you using the same Gmail account for all of the devices?

Google Voice should be able to do this if you can use one Gmail account. Google Voice besides being capable of replacing your voicemail and being a super tool for visual VM and handling calls also has texting. These texts are visible anywhere you can sign-in to Google. So if you had multiple devices where you used GV for texting all of the texts would be there when signed in. The same is true for VM and call logs that GV handles.

There are other ways, recently I saw a post where the user was getting messages on their phone and a tab. Unfortunately I don't know how they did that but I found this article speaking of another app based solution... https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...ngle-number/&usg=AOvVaw2l3f9VxMH4GTrZIvOjlUvp

Google and YouTube also have solutions.

Regular swap of sim.

Then something like Google Voice would probably be your best bet. Probably any messaging app that offers an online or PC companion would work for what you want. That would indicate that the messages are being saved or maintained in a cloud and that should make them accessible just by signing in to an account which you may be able to do automatically if it detects you logged in as the admin of a device.
