Messaging Notification App

My S7 used to have a bar go across the secure lock screen when a text came in. It stayed there until I picked up the phone and looked. My new G7 Thin Q just has this tiny little icon that I never see unless I pick up the phone and look at it. LG says there is no way to fix this. Does anyone know of an app that would change this notification to be more visible?

You have the Always on Display feature enabled in the Display settings, right? I don't think there are many options to make those messages bigger. You could try the Notification led feature and see if of like it.
