Question Messenger App

Google pixel 6 pro.. android 15
Since the weekend the messenger app doesn't allow me to send pictures. It immediately shuts down.. after a couple of minutes I can open it only to find the picture is not sent, it's greyed out with the comment "picture not sent". Everything else is working fine on the app.. I've deleted it and reinstalled . Cleared the cache.. not sure what else to do.. I've reported the problem via play store..

Yep.. cleared both

Facebook/Meta's Android apps have long been notorious for bugginess, so you may just have to wait for it to be addressed by their devs. In the meantime, we can wait to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue (sorry, but I don't use the Messenger app).

Daft thing is that it has been working fine up until the weekend.. I don't recall seeing an update but guess there must have been one.. you can share photos directly from Facebook or other apps but cant add a photo out of Google photos anymore . It's a very odd fault..

Meta is also notorious for testing new features on a subset of users, so if that's buggy, not everyone will experience it either ...

You can try a previous version from what you have to see if it works again but you will have to uninstall the version you have just write your current version down
