MHL & HTC One Help

I bought a HDMI to MHL adapter and when I connect it to my monitor it scales the quality down really badly.

It's a full 1080p monitor.

Is there ANY way of manually changing the output settings on the HTC One?

Example below.

It's the TV. Manually set the resolution of the monitor.
