Got a new phone from Gear Best, a UMI Super yesterday. It worked fine for the set up etc but since it would lock and the display is on always displaying "android". Can only shut it down to get it working, except sometimes it has suddenly worked from the 'android' brick screen. Most times it starts working ok, but now (since overnight) it's displaying this constantly.
Phone calls aren't received during this state.
It's under warranty and can be returned. However returning to China, awaiting the full returns processing and re-shipment will take some time. Also Gear Best don't pay for return shipping. Anyhow my problem for buying from them.
Question is, is there a way fix for this? Is there anyway to know it is software or hardware fault?
If i may need to reinstall OS I'm inclined to do that rather than the time and expense returning it.
