mic drop on BTW car setup

I have an alpine deck in my car that has worked fine for the last year plus. Suddenly, a few months ago, the mic will drop out when on a call, even though the phone still shows connected.

No changes to the deck....had the dealer look at it as well.

Any thoughts appreciated. I did try to remove and readd the phone with no luck. Works fine on other phones.

Does it depend on the phone's position? Bluetooth reception can be blocked by water, which means your body or a big bottle of water might actually cause some interference if they're in the right position.
