Mic not working

Hi, my Panasonic P51 mic has suddenly stopped working. When I use a sound sensor app it is showing a reading of 20 to 25 dB which is way below 50 dB that my other android phone is reporting at the same time in the same room. I'm on 4.2.2 and the Bluetooth / wired headset seem to work fine. I've had the phone for less than 3months

Welcome to Android Central! If you know where the microphone is located, try using a needle and gently scrape it out. Sometimes microphone pinholes can get clogged with gunk--this has happened to my wife's iPhone several times.

Did you find a solution to this? My mic stopped working right in the middle of the call so cant be an external issue... device driver?
