Mic volume too low on VOIP calls

I've been using the One for a few months now, and the only issue that's really annoying to me is low call volume on VOIP.

I use the Vonage Extensions app extensively, so when I call using WiFi or 3G/4G, the (call) receiver complains that they can barely hear me. Initially, I thought it was an issue with the Vonage app, but then I tried calling using the Fring app and had the same issue. I haven't had this issue on Viber though.

Any suggestions? Anybody else face this issue?

Update: I've installed an ARHD 4.3 rom recently, and the volume in the same apps that I was having issues with earlier, is much much better now. I'm not sure if it's 4.3 that fixed the issue, or the ARHD ROM.

I have used Google voice with a free VoIP app to call over wireless and have not had this issue. I only run into delays when speaking versus when they hear my sentence. But that's the apps issue unfortunately.

Hmm... Thanks. I use the VOIP apps to make international calls, and I can't use Google Voice through Talkatone to make those calls unfortunately (at least as far as I know).

I'll just wait for the next Firmware update, and then just format the phone and hope that changes something.
