While rated as a class 4, I have seen my Sandisk 16gig class 4 outperform higher class cards.

Just upgraded to a Team 32gig class 10 and I don't think it's much, if any faster, but $30 for 32gigs was hard to pass up.

Yes, Sandisk brand class 4 cards. Not other brands. Although, random read/write speeds don't help much with large file transfers they do help when loading an app if you are using Link2SD or something like that but even there the improvement is small. Random read/write speeds make all the difference when loading a OS from an SD card (See Nook Color forums).
