I threw in an old 16gb card I had laying around. Any opinions on cards? I know with regular cameras write speed is an issue but I'm wondering if pretty much any card is good for a cell phone. Also any idea what is the best bang for the buck memory quality and size?

I think it matters for HD video. I am using the 16gb card that either came with the Droid bionic or Galaxy Nexus. No issues with photos and my Spotify music is living there.

I do have a newer card coming but it's really a vanity purchase.

I'"m using one from an old Droid. What size did you order? I think I'm gong to get a 64gb.

I bought a 128gb but that will go in my Kindle Fire for movies/ TV shows. The 64gb in the fire will go in the phone.

Both are SanDisk and fast enough to record HD video.

I have several Samsung Evo cards in various devices that work well. Pretty good bang for your buck and I haven't had any issue recording 4k (on my previous G4 and now my V10).

I see that the samsung and SanDisk are about the same price

I've always bought sandisk and am currently rocking a 128GB class 10 card. Never had any issues with them (knocks on wood) as long it's a genuine sandisk product
