Micro SD Slot on Phone Wont Open

I have a Samsung A50 and I cannot open the micro sd slot no matter how hard I try. I fear that the lever to eject it may be broken. Is there something I can try before I have to take it in to a store to see of they can open it?

So the pin you're inserting goes in smoothly, but nothing happens when you press in? With these kinds of SIM trays, I don't think you can damage the eject hole easily, so it's ok to apply a good amount of pressure.

That's exactly what I do and I've put a lot of pressure on it. Nothing.

I can't think of any other way to get it open that wouldn't potentially damage the tray itself or the finish. Probably best to bring it to a repair shop. Is it still under warranty?

We just got them so I will probably contact Sprint and see what they say. Thanks for the help!
