Micro USB protector cover like or dislike?

+1 for Nokia qi charging, +1 on the DNA being a solid flagship...sorta. usb cover, meh, its purpose is to help with water splashing, DNA is partially water proof.

I tried the Nokia DT-900 from Verizon fore my son's N4 before I got my DNA, got 25% of the $49.99 but his phone didn't like it much. A few days later the LG WCP-300 was available online so I got 25% of the $39.99 and when I returned the Nokia in store they had the LG there too so I swapped it. So now we have 2 LG pads, my nightstand and his. Better price than the Nokia and works better, the Nokia on the N4 you had to place the phone just right and had to be placed a certain way. Long ways with the oval pad is what seemed to work best, the round LG pad will charge at any of the 360 degrees. :-)

I hate that thing. anyway, i'll lost that. but, there is usual usb stick for me. unus otg usb is good.
i bought on amazon. actually, it is better than other usb.

Yes, pretty good deal off an eBay store called theprunedanish. The Nokia charging plates are 25$ and they had several. They are used but the store has a return policy if its defective.

Would you mind posting a link? I can't find the seller for whatever reason.

I like the cover since I've used an Energizer Qi charger I bought off of amazon since the day I got the phone. Only had to open the little cover a couple of times and I can say if I charged everyday with a wire I'd have torn it off a long time ago. For those that don't have an induction charger you should get one, they are awesome. I doubt it charges any faster or slower but it's nice to just plop it down and walk away. It's probably my favorite part of this phone and it's why I'm not feeling bad about not getting the One.

Does anyone know where we can submit feedback to HTC? They have some things that should be in every design for their flagship phones
1. Aluminum case (One)
2. Front speakers (One)
3. Induction charging (DNA)
4. Notification light on back also (DNA)
5. Kickstand (EVO)

Items number 1 and 3 above are mutually exclusive. You cant have an aluminum case AND inductive charging. That, in my opinion, is the biggest drawback to the One.

I too love the wireless charging...much of it due to not having to mess with that awkward cover.
Since the One has no silly cover, I am ok with a hassle free plug in process.
Though I really love the DNA, I have a feeling the pull to get the latest greatest will overwhelm me.

In and out of my car during the day so it broke off after a month or two of constant opening and closing.

Bought my DNA back in November and the cover broke last night. I actually like the cover since it kept the plug clean and bottom flush.
Now it feels awkward without the cover, like a missing tooth. :(

Hehe, I remember when some of the phones came with that lil rubber plug that wasn't attached to the phone itself. Within the week you'd flick that baby into outer space trying to get to the charger outlet...

Hey people just wanted to know what dna owners thought of this little protection cover. Is it a useful thing to have or just a nuisance? Mine is beginning to crack and will eventually break off I think. It is a hassle in my opinion of course it does serve a purpose but is it really worth dealing with?

I am not a fan of the cover. It takes an otherwise high end phone and sticks a cheap little flap on it that is downright irritating. Seriously, the little red grills on the side are aluminum, but how on earth could they put this cheap little flap on there when everything else is so nice?

Its SUPPOSED to help with the DNA being partially waterproof. I would personally take less waterproofing over the little cover thing. But if I remove it I believe it voids my warranty...

That sucks. I insured my phone. As long as I can bring back most of my phone in any condition, it is replaced free of charge.

Which insurance did you get?

Sounds like Verizon's insurance with Assurion. That's what I have and they told me that your phone it's covered as long as you return the broken pieces to them. I assume they want to make sure you didn't keep it and possibly sell it...lol

"Replaced free of charge." was the part I was not familiar with.

Best Buy's insurance and you DO NOT GET A REFURBISHED PHONE. For example, now that the DNA is no longer readily available at Best Buy, if I broke my phone, they would give me a credit for the fair market value of the phone toward any new phone I wanted. It is a pretty sweet deal.

I already had my phone replaced once free of charge due to me breaking it accidentally.
